Acounts Payable Agent

C.A.T. Inc., a transportation company in business for 41 years, is looking for a dynamic

candidate for the following opportunity in Coteau-du-Lac;

Accounts Payable Agent

Coteau-du-Lac, QC

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the candidate will be responsible for the following:

Role

– Review all invoices prior to entering in AP

– Process payment requests (checks, electronic transfers & wires)

– Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly

– Respond to all vendor inquiries

– Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies

– Assist in month end closing

– Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

– Assist with other projects as needed

Requirements

– Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable – AS400 and Great Plains is an asset

– College courses in accounting preferred

– Must have strong work ethic

– Must be well organized and a self-starter

– Must be able to follow standard filing procedures

– Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable

– Possess strong organizational and time management skills

– Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

– Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner

– Ability to speak and write English and French fluently

– Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
