  • 8 Hours per day: 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 Hours per week)

 

Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Safety, Compliance and Recruitment, the incumbent will oversee the full recruitment cycle for driver positions in Canada and the United States.

This is a temporary mandate to cover a maternity leave, with the possibility of permanency based on organizational needs and performance.

This role represents an excellent opportunity to actively contribute to the organization’s growth and have a tangible impact on talent attraction and selection.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the entire recruitment process for heavy truck driver positions.
  • Represent the company at recruitment events (job fairs, CFTR, open houses, etc.).
  • Manage social media and various recruitment platforms.
  • Participate in special projects.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of recruitment processes.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
  • Pre-screen incoming driver applications.
  • Make and receive over 100 inbound/outbound calls.
  • Conduct phone interviews with candidates to assess and qualify them.
  • Conduct background investigations to properly verify candidate qualifications.
  • Follow up with candidates to inform them of the status of their application.
  • Coordinate approved candidates’ participation in new hire orientation.
  • Document all recruitment activities and application statuses in TruckRight (ATS).
  • Follow up with drivers after orientation and hiring to ensure a smooth transition into their new role.
  • Provide weekly feedback on the number and quality of prospects.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

*Bilingualism is required as over 95% of the commercial clientele served is English-speaking.
