C.A.T. was among the first investors in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) technology – one of the cleanest fuel alternatives on the market. In 2014, we purchased 100 vehicles powered by CNG, converting one third of our entire fleet to a greener energy. We have not waivered in our commitment since then and now with an expansive network of CNG fuel stations established throughout North America, C.A.T. continues to minimize our environmental impact on each delivery we make.
To further reduce our consumption of natural resources, we’ve started to invest in hybrid fuel technologies and have installed EV charging stations at our head office. These continued investments, along with our ongoing maintenance and training programs will help to continue maximizing efficiencies while simultaneously limiting our carbon footprint.
We are longstanding SmartWay partners and SmartWay Excellence Award winners who acknowledge our corporate accountability to limit the transportation industry’s carbon emissions. As new technologies and more eco-friendly solutions become available, C.A.T. will continue pursuing and implementing sustainable strategies that protect future generations.
