Job Summary

You will serve as HR Director, acting as a trusted, strategic business partner, coach, and understanding the people’s needs and business requirements of the assigned business areas. Partnering with business leaders and HR Directors from Canada and Mexico, this role ensures employees are aligned and equipped to deliver business results. Ideally, the HR Director should have deep business acumen, a solid understanding of HR, and a track record of delivering high-impact results. People strategies must be clarified and guided by this individual, who must be strategic and business-focused.

Key responsibilities

  • Understand conditions and trends in the business, and effectively develops and delivers strategies to address these issues.
  • Manage a high performing HR Team that drives results through a simple, easy to understand structure that makes HR adaptable and efficient.
  • Works with Corporate HR Vice President and HR leaders to ensure alignment and implementation of workforce strategies, actively leveraging metrics and analytics where appropriate.
  • Collaborates with Corporate HR Vice President to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, worker compensations, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations.
  • Develop and manage performance evaluation processes and ensure continuous performance improvement and career development opportunities for employees.
  • Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Oversees Recruiting for non-drivers position in all U.S. C.A.T. Companies.
  • Provides Yearly performance evaluations for all U.S. C.A.T. companies.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy for all U.S. C.A.T. Companies.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance processes.
  • Identify training needs, design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Create and maintain a positive and inclusive workplace culture, fostering employee engagement, motivation, and retention.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to corporate management.
  • Ensures effective HR service delivery and drives continual improvement; ensures activities leverage best practices, are coordinated, and focus on achieving desired results in alignment with the organization’s strategy.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of human resource management experience is required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
