Job Summary

CAT Inc , a leader in the transportation industry is looking for a dependable person to join our rapidly growing company. We are currently looking for an experienced individual, who would join our Safety team to oversee the safety team and ensure compliance with FMCSA DOT and Canadian regulations as well as company guidelines.

 

Role / Tasks

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages the safety team
  • Manages driver safety and compliance programs including development, supervision, reporting and maintenance of such programs
  • Analyzes safety needs and develops, as well as oversees all training programs including monthly training by department, and any remedial training efforts
  • Oversees Department of Transportation regulation compliance in accordance with FMCSA
  • Oversees log compliance to identifies and help develop training opportunities
  • Oversees fuel conservation programs to ensure drivers are not wasting Fuel and evaluates effectiveness of programs
  • Performs miscellaneous project work as directed
  • Manage Safety reporting to identify counsels and trends
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in trucking safety management
  • Ability to analyze and resolve issues using sound logic
  • Ability to lead, motivate and work well with others.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • The ability multi-task and perform accurately and reliably in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • The ability to work independently to achieve goals
  • Work a high degree of integrity and dependability
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Detailed oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
